ADA, Minn. (February 15, 2024) – Adding to an already robust slate of events for the 2024 season, Norman County Raceway has added a 410 Sprint Car show to its schedule. NCR will kick off the three-night visit from the Wisconsin and Illinois-based Interstate Racing Association 410 Sprint Car series on Thursday, July 18th, presented by Buffalo Wild Wings, as they battle the local Northern Outlaw Sprint Association.
Falling just a couple weeks after the World of Outlaws Late Model Series makes their Norman County debut, the IRA Sprint Cars and its series regulars will make the 10-hour trip to take on the local contingent of the Buffalo Wild Wings NOSA regulars at the historic 106-year-old raceway.
Norman County will open the third consecutive trip for the IRA series to the area as the series has been facing off against NOSA since the 2021 season. In the previous five races held in the area, NOSA regulars have won four of those events.
The IRA will be led by former series champions Jordan Goldesberry and Jake Blackhurst, who was the winner of the Buffalo Wild Wings King of the Wings event at nearby River Cities Speedway in 2021 by way of a last-corner pass.
The IRA visit will mark the first 410 race in Norman County since 2020 when NOSA regular Nick Omdahl picked up the victory. In 19 previous 410 events held at Norman County, Wade Nygaard has the most victories with seven.
Mark Dobmeier, who will lead the NOSA regulars into battle versus the IRA, has two wins at the Norman County Fairgrounds’ three-eighths mile oval with the most recent coming in 2004.
Norman County Raceway’s weekly IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Cars will also be on hand on July 18th with other classes to be announced at a later date. Stay tuned to ncraceway.com for upcoming schedule announcements.
